I haven’t deliberately shopped for jeans in a long time, but all my old favorites have become too big on me since I started getting in shape with Burn Fat and Feast. But holy cow, it can be so dang daunting to find that great-fitting new pair of jeans. And if those jeans happen to have a low-price tag, it’s even better yet. That’s all you need to know to fearlessly hit the stores. I’ve had great experiences shopping online with Old Navy: shipping is free on orders over $50, I can get cash back by going through ebates, and I can return whatever doesn’t work to the store (even the internet-only items). Grab your jeans and go! If the store doesn’t have what you’re looking for, note your size and inseam length so you can order online. ![]() My local Old Navy carries short, regular, and long for the Diva and Sweetheart styles in store, but only the regular length for the other styles.ĥ. Old Navy has a ton of options for length: from shortest to longest, they offer petite, short, regular, long, and tall. (Try them on go down a size if necessary.)Ĥ. ![]() These skinnies are going to stretch out at least one size, and you don’t want them to be saggy-baggy after you’ve worn them for an hour. If the jeans fit you comfortably, with the right amount of ease–they’re too big. Old Navy skinnies have quite a bit of stretch. Don’t do it! (The major exception: I needed to go up two sizes to get a pair of Rockstar super-skinny jeans to fit!)Ģ. The temptation with skinny jeans is to go up a size to compensate for the slim fit. Pick a few styles of skinny jeans to try on (I tried the Diva and the Sweetheart) in your normal size. Most of these guidelines apply to buying any jeans–from any store–made from a fabric that contains spandex. Many of you have told me you’re the same way, and with that in mind, I’ve made this handy cheat sheet for buying skinnies at Old Navy. (And sales and coupons are easy to come by.) At a regular price of about $29, Old Navy denim is much cheaper than the jeans I usually wear. (This does not apply to Old Navy’s “jeggings”–those are tight.) They fit much like my regular denim down to my knees, but go much better with my boots.Ģ.
